The Word becomes flesh and dwells among men. The only begotten Son declares God, bringing grace and truth to the world. John contrasts the law given through Moses with the grace and truth that comes through Jesus Christ.

Jesus calls Himself the vine and His followers the branches, stating that apart from Him we can do nothing. We must abide in Him as He abides in us. The Father prunes fruitful branches so they bear more fruit and glorify God.

Paul prays for believers to have the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. He encourages them to walk worthy of the Lord, bear fruit, and grow strong with all might. Believers give thanks to the Father for qualifying them to share in the inheritance.
