To live a holy life, we must first understand the foundational truths of our new identity in Christ. God’s plan for our holiness is accomplished by His grace through faith, not by our own efforts to keep the law.

Galatians 2:18-21 (view passage online)
The law arouses sin to show our need for Christ. Paul died to the law and shared in the crucifixion of Christ so he might live to God. He lives by faith in the Son of God because seeking righteousness through the law makes Christ die in vain.
