Hebrews 9:15-28 (view passage online)
This message teaches that salvation comes only by means of death, as death is the required penalty for sin. It explains that because works cannot earn righteousness, a perfect substitute was necessary to pay the debt we could not. Christ’s one-time sacrifice is sufficient and final, and without the shedding of His blood, there is no remission of sins.
