Believers owe no one anything except to love one another, because love fulfills the law and does no harm to a neighbor. We must put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh. We awake from sleep because salvation approaches nearer than when we first believed.

Every soul must subject itself to governing authorities because God appoints all existing authorities. Rulers act as God’s ministers to maintain order and justice. Believers must render taxes, customs, fear, and honor to those who deserve them.
